The White House released an executive order confirming that updated reciprocal tariffs will take effect on 8/1/25. Yesterday, the President shared letters sent to 14 countries advising of the reciprocal rate that will be imposed.

  • S. Africa – 30%
  • Kazakhstan – 25%
  • Malaysia – 25%
  • S. Korea – 25%
  • Japan – 25%
  • Tunisia – 25%
  • Bosnia, Herzegovina- 30%
  • Thailand - 36%
  • Cambodia - 36%
  • Serbia Belgrade - 35%
  • Bangladesh - 35%
  • Indonesia - 32%
  • Philippines - 20%
  • Brunei - 25%
  • Maldova - 25%
  • Algeria - 30%
  • Iraq - 30%
  • Libya - 30%
  • Sri Lanka - 30%

The remaining 100 countries that do not have a trade deal with the US or represent smaller trade interests are also expected to have updated tariffs on 8/1. In a Truth Social post, the President advised that more letters will be sent in the coming days and that no further extensions will be granted on implementation.

Please remember that China has already completed a trade deal with the US that is already in effect. This upcoming change will not impact the current trade deal. We expect to hear more details in the coming days and encourage you to monitor the official updates at WhiteHouse.gov.
