The United States has postponed tariffs on Chinese goods for another 90 days, until November 10, 2025. Reciprocal tariffs will remain at 10%, while IEEPA-related tariffs will stay at 20%.
The United States and China, following the commitments outlined in the Geneva Joint Statement from May 12, 2025, and their subsequent meetings in London and Stockholm, have agreed to take specific actions by August 12, 2025.
The U.S. will suspend 24 percentage points of the additional ad valorem duty on Chinese goods for an extra 90 days, maintaining a 10 percent rate. Similarly, China will suspend 24 percentage points of the additional ad valorem duty on U.S. goods for 90 days, also retaining a 10 percent rate. Additionally, China will eliminate non-tariff countermeasures against the U.S. as agreed previously.
The discussions were held under the framework of the Geneva Joint Statement, with key representatives from both sides involved in the meetings.
