APPA Promotes Healthy Living for Good Nutrition Month
-November’s month-long observance reminds pet owners to make healthy choices for their pets as well. -
(Stamford, CT) – In observance of Good Nutrition Month, the American Pet Products Association (APPA) urges pet owners to evaluate their pet’s current diet and make sure pets are receiving the proper nutrition they need. The month-long observance aims to raise awareness about healthy eating and the benefits of a healthy diet, and APPA is stepping in to make sure we’re also making healthy choices for our pets. According to APPA’s 2017-2018 National Pet Owners Survey, 12 percent of dog owners and 15 percent of cat owners report their pet is overweight. This equates to 9 million dogs and 7.5 million cats. To help pet owners get their pet’s diet back on track, below is a round-up of products manufactured by APPA members that can help pets lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle.
