APPA is pleased to announce that we have partnered with one of the premier live event companies, CCK Global Events to produce a first-of-its-kind pet event for New York City.  The NYC Pet Show will take place May 22-23, 2010 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York, NY.  While this “consumer event” is a first for our organization, we believe the time is right to take our member companies directly to their customers.

For its debut year, the NYC Pet Show (www.nycpetshow.com) will showcase more than 60 companies that manufacture dog and cat products, specifically targeted for the city-dwelling pet owner.  New York City is considered one of the most pet-friendly cities in the United States and these pet owners are looking for unique products and services that will enhance their quality of life and serve to improve their pet relationships.

We anticipate 4,000-5,000 attendees each day walking the show floor as well as enjoying a program of well-known industry speakers and some very big celebrities, which will be announced after January 1, 2010. 

As an exhibitor, this event offers your company the following opportunities:

1.       Take orders on the show floor

2.       Direct marketing via face-to-face interaction between new and existing customers

3.       Push attendees toward a web purchase on your site

4.       Provide a “show special” to drive traffic to your booth

Additionally, CCK Global Events will be producing television and radio spots that will feature a selection of participants in an effort to promote the event.  Your exhibit agreement provides you access to a host of promotional opportunities from live radio, media interviews, print advertising, and television. 

Since APPA is sponsoring this event, we are able to offer a special “members only” rate for the booth cost. The cost for 10’ x 10’ booth is normally $2,500 but members will receive a discounted booth at $1,950. This member rate will only be available until January 8, 2010, with a limited number of selected vendors from certain categories so act quickly as space is reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.
