Manager, Member Relations & Business Development

For nearly 12 years, Rose Rigano served as APPA’s Membership Coordinator and in June of 2006, she was promoted to Manager of Member Relations and Business Development.  It is highly likely that if you are a member of APPA, you have spoken to Rose at least once. She is the first contact new members hear from when they join, as she is responsible for assisting with all aspects of membership recruitment and retention activities. Rose also manages and maintains APPA’s extensive membership database of nearly 1,000 members as well as assists with membership benefit planning and implementation. 

Additionally, Rose assists with domestic and international trade show preparations, facilitates on-site registration at Global Pet Expo and aids exhibitors and buyers with the international attendance process.

Prior to joining APPA, Rose served as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Residence Life at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.  Her responsibilities included the management of all operational procedures of the department, coordination of summer school/summer conference housing and all aspects of Resident Assistant recruitment/selection.  Rose also assisted other college offices in the implementation of a multi-million dollar student housing renovation program.  

While she may spend her days at APPA promoting the benefits of pet ownership, Rose is also a big supporter of the FDNY and her local fire departments. She currently lives in New York where admittedly her cat, Thea, has the run of the house.
