Kaitlin Simonfay-Stewart

Kate Simonfay joined the American Pet Products Association in November 2012. In her time at APPA, Kate has worked with both the Association and for Global Pet Expo, the Association's annual trade show. For the past three years she has been working in the trade show department to help produce Global Pet Expo.    
 
In her newest position as Exhibitor Services Manager, she acts as a customer service representative to all new APPA members and is a direct contact for new trade show exhibitors. In this role she helps first-time exhibitors step by step from booth application submission, to strategies to increase company awareness by booth location and marketing approaches, and acts as an onsite contact. Kate works closely with the trade show team in handling most aspects of the trade show including booth sales and booth assignments, recruitment and retention strategies, international attendee letter of invitations, and day to day trade show operations.  
 
Kate has been serving as a Co-Vice Chair since 2013 for the NYIAEE Young Professionals Committee and has helped launch, along with fellow APPA colleagues, the APPA Young Professionals Network. She was awarded an IAEE Diamond Award for the New York Chapter in 2015 which recognized her volunteer efforts for the organization. Kate received her Certification in Exhibition Management (CEM) in 2016.   
 
Kate is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University, where she she received her BA in marketing and communications and Marist College where she received her Masters in Media Studies and Public Relations. Prior to joining APPA, Kate worked for a local radio station. Kate loves to travel and go on adventures. She currently resides in CT with her husband and her french bulldog, Mr. Feeny.
